Our boat to Koh Lanta was at 11.30am so we had plenty of time to get up and pack, we got ourselves some good noodle soup for 50 baht. On the way to the ferry we grabbed a fruit shake each and jumped aboard. It was all pretty straight form reward and easy. Everything's well organised here!
The boat ride was only an hour, the boat wasn't full but it didn't stop the men coming around to try and sell you accommodation whether or not you said you already had booking they would still try it with you!
Our hotel is near enough right next to the ferry port so we walked there. This island has vehicles!
The hotel seems newly renovated upstairs, an older couple own it and they're really friendly so it's all good!
Our tele wouldn't work so the guy was fart arsing about with it for a whole but we didn't mind, the air con was cooking the room down so we were happy to chill there for a while!
We went out about 2.30pm to explore so we hired a moped; it's so quiet here! There is hardly any locals about the place!
There isn't really much about the place either, there are shops and little restaurants but there will be a crowd of them and then for about 2-3km there isn't anything. It's really hard to find a dirt track that goes to the beach, and they aren't very well sign posted, and when we did spot them they weren't all crystal blue waters and white sand like it shows you on google, they weren't half as good as the beaches in Phuket or Phi Phi! I think if is came here on a holiday I would pretty disappointed with not much going on the place.
We got half way down the island and found an ocean cliff restaurant so we went in and had a drink. The view was gorgeous and the beach looked lovely from up above so we went and had a walk.
We took a slow and drive back about 4.30 and showered to grab a bite to eat next door. Not fancying much to eat tonight because we ate late for lunch.
We were back in bed at 8.30pm watching a movie on Scott's phone!
