We decided to hire push bikes today from the guy outside our hotel, he left them out for us locked up last night and told us to pay the reception because he was going fishing!
They were pretty decent mountain bikes and looked all good and well! They weren't too bad to ride either with a padded seat to cushion the buttocks!
I was quite excited to do some exercise.
We set off down the main road, it was about 7km to Angkor Wat. It seemed even hotter today!
I took us for a little detour, the GPS had a power serge so we ended up going through this rocky road, and onto another main road, missing the temple so it ment we had to make a turn back! We spotted the monkeys from yesterday, I sped up as we went passed them! They weren't pinching the GoPro off of my head today!
On all the post cards there are elephants coming out of the south gate of the Bayon Temple, well today we spotted elephants trotting down he road towards the south gate, they had all the para-fanalia on aswell, they looked cute all of them! But they were coming at quite a pay every close to us, not scared of them anymore we see too many of them! They scared to monkeys away so that made me happy!
We stopped at loads of temples along the way today, Scott the class clown was riding the bike with no hands and trying to BMX stuff. It's annoying he can pick things up straight away he reckons he hasn't been on a bike in ten years!
I guess I just have more dear now than I used to. All the tuk tuk drivers were laughing at him on the way around.
The temples are still so gorgeous! And were built early 10th century! Still standing with the help if the Chinese and the restoration convention in place for them all. They are doing well with it all aswell!
we got back to the hotel around 4pm again; we jumped straight in the pool to freshen up, it was boiling and we were a sweat bath - yummy!
We definetly rode the bike for at least 30km to the temples, around the temples and back! We rode for miles fair play to us, and our bums are red roar! We can't sit down on the toilet hardly!! Haha.
I know I fancied a bit of exercise but bloody hell!!
We went out early for grub, we had fajitas again on pub street. They were so good!
Shattered from our spurt of exercise today we were back at the room by 8pm! It's ridiculous how early we are getting back these days, a little bit of exercise and we are shattered! Haha. Getting unfit or old and weary? Hmmm.
We like it here in Siem Reap so stopping another night, we were going to so the floating villages on tonle sap lame but the reviews are awful, a chill day tomorrow to rest our sorry little bums!
