G'day folks just to let u all know about my experiences so far!!i apologise that i hav'nt been in touch much,it's been pretty hard at times getting access to a computer! Well where do i begin............Africa was amazing,words really do fail me!the people there are wonderful,both the local people and othere travellers passing through.it really has got an atmosphere of it's own! We were very lucky there not only to see the country,but to work there as well! The first week there was working in the early part of the day,followedby visiting the hospital to visit sick children.the second week was more informal,where we got a lot of time to ourselves!!we went on a couple of cultural trips whilst there,we got to see a swazi village called lobamba,it was a very poor place yet the people there made you so welcome.seeing how people can have such joy was amazing!the other trip that we did was a walk to see the rituals and dances that the local swazi people do(we also tried the dancing lol) I also got to be the grandfather which meant that i had to dress in traditional clothes and give out orders,that was pretty cool! We were also lucky to visit some othere places in swaziland to meet local people, those experiences will live with me always!after swaziland we travelled to mozambique,12 hours to get there but.........wow,the indian ocean and living in a beach resort for 5 days......paradise!
