St Albans, UK
Hey All,
Well I have spent a week in St Albans recouping and recovering from a cold. This was the perfect week for getting things organised. I chilled at Mick and Trysettes for several days and caught up with a few friends, updated net stuff and just had a chance to breath after rushing about for 3 months.
It has now been 3 months being away from home. And a lot has happened in those 3 months. I got posted in America in this little town in the middle of no where, but the most fabulous place to be. I taught 270 girls fitness. Made life long friends which I can visit through out the world. Matt and I became a "on hold" couple. But from the loss of contact now, I believe we have broken up. I got to live in the city I had dreamed of since I was 5. New York City was an amazing adventure and a treat to visit but you have to have your hard shell of defence on to survive the city.
I loved and hated "camp". And it was definately camp! This is a quick over view blog but I will be writing more later on.
I then, after two months, flew over to Edinburgh and worked in the biggest and best arts festival in the world. This was an amazing and zaney experience. I was working from 6pm to 6am. 3 to 4 days a week. It was grueling work but totally worth the experience and vibe of the festival. While in edinburgh, I caught up with 9 or 10 really close friends from home. Which is a spin out when you haven't seen or been in contact with anyone for months. I got in touch with a very special friend of mine, tom, who helped me grasp my creative talent and spark back again. I became in love the performing arts again, and the wild nature of the world. We went traveling to Ireland and stayed there for 4 days. We were in Dublin and had lovely Irish experiences.
I have then moved on to Trysettes and Micks apartment and have settled for a week.
I have been given a job in Plaistow (not the greatest area) and I think I'm really going to love it! I get to get back into shape again and be really fit. Be up there with a huge company and be civilised for a while. I start on Monday and work for a week and then go on a months holiday with Carmen around the Greek Islands and around the Mediteranian.
I am just about to make my trip up to Edinburgh for the day to pick up my luggage. Up on the train for 6 hours and then at 11.30pm, I have to get the bus back to London. YAY, long trips!
Anyway I'm im the process of finding a shared apartment. I want people there and all the facilities. I will put out for the perfect apartment and hopefully it will come to me. I will be brave and get my first ever "home away from home!".
I went to Cambridge this afternoon with M +T and we went punting along the river. It was highly civilised and oh so lovely. The punter were these "straping young lads" dressed in polo shorts, lovely english shoes (the ones that look like there not wearing sock and are flat and low cut), collared shirts with their knitted sweater tied around their neck. Oh so posh and so attactive. I saw this one punter who had lovely golden locks and he could move so fast in the water. I had a go at punting after Micks punting skills (weaving through the river from side to side), and I stayed in a straight line, went at a good speed and parked it well at the boat shed.
We then went to the boat shed pub and I went and saw a gig which M + T were playing in. It was really good. The artist was Chris. The bands name is the Ravines and its a little chilled country rock. He was nice, 30, and sort of flirted with me all night. He is buying a house boat, he's an artist who sells his paintings for a living and also installs X-Ray machines.
It was a great night and I can't thank Mick and Trysette enough for all they have done for me. They have supported me and overall been awesome to be with for a week.
I also put foils in my hair this morning. And did a BODYBALANCE class with a bit of BODYJAM at the end with Trysette.
I'm off to bed cause I still need to pack my bags and write a card for them. But there will be regular blogs coming up.
