On the 5th of April, 2010, I set out from my hometown of Llandovery in south Wales, on what would become a 49 day bicycle ride to Pompei, Italy. The trajectory encompassed grand rivers, majestic mountains, vibrant cities and deep blue seas.
In Cherbourg, France, I met up with two friends Laurence and Ollie, who would accompany me to Pompei and beyond. Their story continues. Mine is related in the following pages.
