Today, we arrived in Seattle after a 4 hour flight from Dallas. We had an early 7am flight, so we had to get Natalie up really early. She was such a great kid on the plane. She slept most of the time and when she wasn't, she was playing with folks on the plane. Alaska Air was trying to save the middle seat for us on the plane so we could put Natalie's car seat in between Dad and I. We had the seat empty until they said the door was closing. Dad and I thought we were in the clear. Just as they said the door was closing, this guy came running on the plane. We were hoping that he had a different seat on the plane...but our empty seat was the last one on the plane. So of course, Dad moves over and we were a little tight on the ride. Turns out, this guy was on his way back from Africa to California and he was on sometype of medical mission. He said it was his 6th trip this year and was trying to get home. After hearing about his travel story, we were glad he was able to get home.
After arriving in Seattle, we headed to Ivar's Fish Bar down by the water. There, you can throw french fries to seaguls and they will go flying through the air after the FF. Natalie got a kick out of watching them and even tried to throw a few for them. I love the fish at Ivar's....if you are ever in Seattle...you have to go!
Once we left Ivar's, we walked down the street to the Pike Place Market. We got to watch the guys through the fish at the market and have some of the hot donuts from a vendor. You can get anyting you could ever want from there.
Well off to see our family in Bellingham...more posts coming soon.
PS...This photo was taken from the plane was we landed in Seattle. It is the best photo of Mount Raineer I have ever taken.
