im now at the end of my stay with chris and it has been amazing. ive done lots of horse riding which is what i came to do and have helped chris out lots too. im going to miss it lots and lots. and i didnt realise but chris used to be a cook in the army so i have eaten very very well!! and we have made cakes the whole time i have been here, i made a cheesecake, apple cake and chocolate cake, all very very yummy oh and a carrot cake!! we have also visited chris' sister who lives in gin gin and we took one of her kids back to stay on the farm for 2 days which was lovely. she is called annaleise and is just like ellie!! and shes 9. teresa (chris sister) also had a dog called miss prissy and the dog was terrorising the children so chris offered to take her on the farm. but after one day we had to take her to the rspca because she was chasing gypsie and the chickens and generally being a complete menace. she didnt listen to you and you had to tie her up to get anything done, and even then she would bark non stop until you untie her. the final straw for me was when i put my nice clean white linen trousers on as we were going into town and she ran up and jumped on me...needless to say i didnt have much to say to her after that and although its sad none of us felt bad when we dropped her off at the rspca. they will be able to train her up so she can go to a good home.
after two weeks of weeding, raking, mowing, feeding and generally helping out i ended my trip by helping chris at the markets. we got up at 5 and left for gin gin and set up the markets and we had everything from fresh veg to books to kitchen stuff to sell. chris made about $80 which was a good week for her. they were also giving away free puppies at the market, i nealry got one...but i realised i would prob have to leave it at the airport. and after i thought id done everything in my power to persuade chris to get one with no luck, she came back with the cutest little puppy!!! she was so cute and slept most the morning. i really didnt want to leave after that!! but chris dropped me in bundy and i said my good byes. i then spent one night in bundy backpackers...which was an experience in itself. the people there we hard core fruit pickers but had a 4 day weekend off and were seriously into their drinking...so i joined in. however after not drinking for 3 weeks i was in bed by 8 30...i just couldnt hack it :-( but a good time was had. im now in airlie beach trying to work out how to afford the whitsundays sailing tour...tossing up either sailing or ugg boots...its a tough decision. anywho hopefully hear from you all soon and hope evryone is well. ill prob stay in airlie for a week. x x x
