Althea Halliday I am in Melbourne traffic wobbling as I write. What a wonderful blog you have composed on your caving adventure and your journey over spectacular passes. How interesting that words were insufficient to describe such beauty. I very much understand that. And how rewarding to find restaurants of such quality! We have had a marvellous weekend immersed - as expected - in conversation and creativity. So much has been accomplished. More details tonight. Love Mum x

Althea Halliday I have caught up on the blogs, and once again have really appreciated the details re specific places, historical elements, stop signs (I would probably still be at the first one!), beautiful homes on the harbour, delicious food, quaint shops and magnificent sunsets. Thank you for taking the time to write. We are about three hours away from Melbourne ready for a glorious weekend of conversation and creativity. Love Mum x

Althea Halliday Bravo, Gareth! You have combined detail with wry observations of people and situations. (Apologies if I sound like an English teacher giving a critique!) Fancy seeing ostriches and penguins and a whale, and smelling rotten fish smells in a garden - all in one day. Thank you for writing such an interesting blog.
Althea Halliday What a truly excellent blog is this! And fancy seeing the 'big five' up so close! I was so heartened to hear that there were so many animals in the park: galores of elephants and antelopes and so on. I was also incredulous at that shot of the leopard. Unbelievable clarity! And the eyes! Dear me! We thought that Muffin meant business. He wasn't a patch on the fixed intent of this magnificent animal. And wasn't your accommodation wonderful! What an entirely unforgettable adventure. (We have been to Melbourne and back, and now we're in Toowoomba. Always going at the speed of sound.)
re: Finding the big five!Beverly Langsford Willing Great reading about your new adventure! Sounds amazing. Will check it again during the week. Enjoy and stay safe. It was terrific to have Althea and Harry here for Sunday night. Lots of laughs and stories as usual. Love, Bev
