Sitting in a laundrette in Madrid - boring. Benicasim was so incredible (and tiring). Saw about 4 top bands every night including Mumford and sons, pendulum, the strokes, the streets, portishead, arcade fire, pig bag... I would normally reach my bed hoarse and covered in sweat at about 5am then sleep until the tent becomes a sauna at about 8am, cool off in the shower then head to the beach finding breakfast and a litre of fresh orange juice on the way. Days on the beach involved being pedalo pirates, playing volleyball with the locals, trying to body surf on giant waves, playing cards and trying to catch up on sleep.
Finished the festival off covered in bruises (from moshing), on my second pair of flip flops, without much voice, with sunburn and stupidly tired. Despite this we thought it would be fun to climb a mountain at 5:30am and watch the sunrise at the top, and it was. Then we found a proper bed in a hostel and slept for 20 hours straight.
