I have just written a really long entry and pressed something and its all disappeared!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOO. I haven't got time to re-write. But just to let you know i'm having a good time, America is expensive and I'll do a full update in a few days when I'm in LA xxxx

Laura Hey Sarah, Glad to here you arrived safely. Hope your enjoying San Fran! Remember to visit the beautiful japanese gardens...they serve nice green tea and rice crackers! For a split second this morning I thought of picking up the phone and giving you a call for a chat about something...realising I can't do that anymore made me feel a bit sad! Emily Glad Sarah has safely arrived! Make sure you visit Lombard Street (curviest street in the world) and Ghiradelli (San Fransisco's chocalate makers). Are you going to get locked up in Alcatraz?? Was lovely to see you (and Lucie and Laura) on Sat. Will miss you so much! x x x

Tricia Morris You may all like to know that Sarah safely boarded the plane at heathrow (after re-packing her bag several times & with plenty of weeping by us in the check in queue) and at the time of writing (11pm GMT) has arrived in San Fransisco, she sent a text saying she was boarding a tram on her way to the hostel
