Our Hotel (Sir Francis Drake) was just off Union Square. So very central!

Our first day in San Francisco was our 2nd Wedding anniversary. We started our day visiting Alcatraz. After taking the Alcatraz cruise clipper from pier 33 we arrived on the 'haunting' island.

The audio tour was great, and gave you all the history you would need about the island and potential escape attempts. After 3 hours on the island we made our way back into San Francisco.

We spent the evening of our anniversary at Michael Mina Restaurant, highly recommended! Great food and atmosphere!

San Francisco is a very relaxed city and if I needed to live in a City, it is a City I would live in. From the Financial District, China Town, and all Piers...it is a great place! The shopping is great too...lots of shops.

Pier 39, is fun also, with the qwerky shops, bars and restaurants.. to the Seals at the end (Steve's favourite). Also good fun to take the musical stairs .

A place I hope we go back to one day.....
