We arrived in Bangkok on day 2 very early in the morning and took the airport express to the backpacker's area around Khao san.

Orientation and navigation were very difficult due to our very basic map and a lack of street signs. To make matters worse the road names we did find were in Thai!

We eventually found the Happy House, which despite lovely pictures on the interweb was far from happy! We ended up staying in the Thai Orchid as recommended by those that had gone before (Juanvi & Yolanda), which was quite nice.

After cleaning up and grabbing something to eat, we headed off to begin investigating Bangkok. After a couple of hours the Jetlag hit us hard, so we headed back to the hotel for a long siesta, which cured it completely.

Wow Halloween Thai style is pretty full on, so many people and loud live music everywhere, what a kerfuffle!
