After 3 and a half months, I'm leaving Asia...
6 countries, 7 different currencies, a hundred bus journeys, some very high zip-wires, 7 Thai islands, lots of fantastic friends, lots of giggly motorbike rides, some cheeky monkeys and lots of laughs.
It's been quite an adventure! Asia has ruined me for all future holidays with its gorgeous beaches, friendly locals and clear blue seas... Ibiza is never going to compare. I've got some fabulous memories to take with me - watching the sun rise over Angkor Wat, sailing around Halong Bay, eating lobster in Mui Ne, cheering as fireworks welcomed in the New Year on Koh Phi Phi, trekking through the jungle in Laos, cuddling orphans in Siem Reap, dancing on the beach at sunrise on the Thai islands... its been amazing.
I'm offically a Lone Traveller now, after saying bye to Cords who is headed to India to meet Pat.. I'm looking forward to hearing about all their antics. Pat, she's a great travelling buddy - look after my Big Spoon.
Before taking on the vastness of South America I'm headed to Australia for a week-long stop-over, catching up with friends, enjoying speaking the first language and eating Western food (no more rice!). Then the hard work starts...
