The PinEle Adventure
today started with an early wake up call in prepartion for the 'great walking tour'. this tour took us on an 3 1/2 hr trek which gave us a great insight of the history of Hungary and in particular Budapest. the views from the buda side of this wonderful city were spectacular. unfortunately there was no time for a 'pivo stop' but we did try a local chocolate bar filled with cottage cheese!?
this afternoon we said a farewell to our ozzie fellow backpacker chum Erin. we informed her..and now you, that we will return home on the 18th to wash our clothes and follow her to Oz for our next backpacking tour, departing late November.
we met our new 'roomies' earlier- a trio-nancy, brett and the annoying one, from Calgary, (calgary seems to be a popular origin for backpackers!). although it's been interesting to hear their stories, we feel the high pitch screeches of the 18year old student chicks may become overbearing and will lead us to a pivo or two!
we were planing a visit to watch he ballet at the opera house tonight- thought we should be a bit more cultured..and awww that, but we have since found out the opera house is closed. so instead we will take a pictuesque tram ride along the danube to see the spectacular views illuminated.
planning to depart beautiful budapest tomorrow morning at 9.30 for a sail along the danube to slovakia.
we are quite sad to leave budapest but is definately on the cards for a return visit.
we have been having a fabulous trip, and can't believe we've only got 5 days left on our inter-rail pass....mmmm....wonder how much it costs to extend it...
alwas thinking...always thinking
love pinele xox
