We took a trip to Rotorua on the 16th March 2006 accompanied by Jason and Carl. It was a long ol' drive about 3 hours, on straight open roads.
Our first stop was the Zorb. Zorbs are giant inflatable balls which you climb inside and get rolled down a hill. To add to this mayhem they fill it with water and even detergent . Jason went with Carl and Ben, John took my and Chloe. The boys loved the experience but i think it was too much of an unknown to Chloe how sat down all the way - imagine being inside a washing machine and your pretty close to zorbing.
Once all dried we headed up the road, where our next adventures include Jason and i doing the swoop (kinda like a bungi). The images and experience still haunt me . John and the kids went and tried out extreme freefall. This entailed them (one by one) being blown into the air over a huge fan. Seeing was believing.
From here we went to the Luge, downhill toboganning on roads. Everyone enjoyed this activity as there where three choices of expertise to choose from. Chloe and i rode together and achieved the beginneers, Jason, John and Ben conquered expert, and Carl defeated the intermediate.
A highly enjoyable day, would recommend a visit if every over here.
