One day to go until Dave starts of TMP....its been the maddest day yet!!!

After a morning visit back to Scotty Browns bike shop (thanks for the great gear and bike service Scotty) we get a visit from Emily, Jason and baby Nethaniel who have flown down from Wellington to wish Dave all the best before heading back home after a quick lunch.

Then its off to the Burwood Spinal injury unit for Dave to meet up with the consultant Mr Bean who 20 years ago looked after the big man through the worst days after his accident, also present was Gareth who Dave met 20 years ago in the unit when he was only eight and who like Dave is an inspiration to us all.

Whilst at the unit Dave is interviewed by the national news team from TV3 for a slot on the 6pm show......the crew all gather at the Metropolitan Motel for the news which produces the most fantastic story for TMP and we had to admit the big guy did a fantastic job.....his story was however third behind the rabid wombat attack and the eighty year old who drove her car through the garage wall!!!

Nick and Lynn finalise the plan of action for day 1 before our pizza and pasta feast arrives with a box of beer from James (Jimmy) from the Metropolitan Motel...then its heads down for an early check out before the wheels start rolling in the morning as Dave finally gets TMP on the road.
