Went on a walking tour of downtown and ate lunch @ Sam's deli (shrimp sandwich was OK nothing to write home about). No orcas on the crossing but this mom and babe inspired us to check out Butchard Gardens.

After dropping off the car @ the Vancouver airport, we took a cab to the ferry terminal where we had to drag all of our crap (plus 16 bottles of wine) around. I later found out that we could have checked our bags! Instead, I dented my favorite travel mug and nearly had an escalator accident. No whale sightings on the passage. Smooth sailing - no gravol needed. Victoria here we come!
