After supper, we headed out to the hot springs and guess what - there was an ADULTS ONLY pool - paradise for us DINKS! Given that it was over 30 degrees at 7:00pm, the spring fed pools were warm not hot. We later walked to the source of the pools and found out that the water comes out of the ground at above 60 degrees centigrade. When the hot spring was first discovered, it was thought that drinking it was beneficial to a person's health! YUCK - given the strong sulfurous odor @ the source, I can't imagine the taste!
