Arrived in Buenos Aires on Tuesday and are loving it. We have an amazing studio ( Hollywood Suites and lofts) in trendy boho Palermo. We only have to walk a block to pass enough restaurants to sell out the meat counter at Sainsburys! Well the meat, as expected it is everywhere, huge tender and much cheapness!! I haven't yet ordered one for myself but tried G's which was melt in your mouth but for me, tasted odd. I suppose not having eaten it for six years means my taste buds have changed! I haven't given up though as it just smells so delicious. Yesterday at lunch, two old women sat next to us, ordered a couple of cokes and an enormous slab of cow which they polished off no problem - with just a few token chips thrown in. It's just the way it is here I suppose, marvellous! The other food is also great, I can sense the waist expanding already! Wine is cheap and good, so I am loving that - £2 for a big old glass, happy days :o) We did a city tour yesterday which was good to get our bearings and a feel for the place. Some mad old yanks on the mini bus. Our tour guy was English and spent all day making sarky comments to them which went straight over their heads - most amusing! Today we went shopping as my bag got ripped on the flight here so lost some of my clothes and needed a new rucksack. An annoying expense and waste of time but thankully we are in a place where the shops are great! Also meant whilst G did washing yesterday, I lay by our roof top pool in the warm late afternoon sun (the clothes I lost yesterday were dirty, result!) Anyway, signing off now as there's another meal to be had!!!
