After a rather slow start followed by some pool lounging, we retired to the room as the cloud cover increased and the mid day temperature soared. The rain came early, just after lunch, so seemed high time to return to the room for a snooze. Back awake at 4, the weather was looking decidedly inclement, which suited us as we had some chores to do. E mails was next up: stopped in at some old boy's internet café. There wasbroken clock on the wall, stopped at the time the tsunami hit. Clearly his business had suffered and we wondered if he had lost any relatives. Shame he didn't have wireless. Next was picking up some prescription medicine that is sold OTC in Thailand. For dinner we cruised up and down on the scooter, looking for some action. We fell for the old trick of assuming busy restaurant means good food, and ate at the Jai. Main course cost a quid so bearing that in mind I guess it was quite good. (No it wasn't, it was crap! A-lo) Got back to the hotel at 945pm to find the hotel bars closed, so sat on the balcony and sipped our Singhas whilst listening to the incessant rain…
