Moving on…..
Packed up for the final time in NZ and realized we couldn't take the wine we had bought at Mudbrick as hand luggage. Chris is an Arsenal fan, so he and Annelise watched the second half of the Fulham vs. Arsenal game that was live on TV. (Nil Nil. Guess who was happier with the result???) Went for Yum Char at Sunshine restaurant with our hosts: ate delicious dim sum brunch.
Hayley and Chris drove with us to the airport to see escort us off the premises, so to speak. They had been great hosts and we can't wait for our next visit.! The Sprinter completed its 2,700km journey and we were on our way to see Michael and Kylie in Oz.
Quick, uneventful 3.5 hour flight and we were greeted by Michael at Brisbane arrivals. He asked why we didn't fly to Coolangatta and save him 3 hours drive. Doh! Arrived chez Vincent and chilled out on the decking with a couple of beers. Michael put a joint of lamb in the oven whilst we checked over the week's itinerary. Looked awesome with trips to the gym, hair cuts, surfers paradise and Steve Irwin's zoo. We'd have to get used to different hours as Monday's hair appointment at 730 am was preceded by a "sleep in".
Annelise was convinced she could hear the smoke alarm and went inside to check. Shortly afterwards there was a fit of screaming. A fire? No the "smoke alarm" was a pretty bright green tree frog outside the front door.
After dinner we looked at Kylie's scrap books to our and their weddings. Kylie has a Masters in scrapbooking: they really are a work of art.
