Sleep in! So good to know we actually have five nights here - even if it marks the end our trip! Raym is really suffering with his toe....he actually hurt it in Mykonos but now feels he's possibly developed gout.
Breakfast was on a delightful terrace overhanging with bougainvillea - and was rather scrumptious! So good to have Greek yoghurt again - love it!
Headed off on a Caldera walk towards Fira though wasn't long before we detoured and ended up on a lower meandering pathway past some amazing villas including a wedding reception venue (watched a wedding there from our pool terrace later in the afternoon). Was good to get oriented with various points of interest including the cable car and donkey rides. Wandered through a maze of streets but really needed to find a pharmacy again - Raym definitely needed stronger anti inflammatories!
Coffee, baklava and drugs (in that order!) then I left Raym in an Irish pub - you wouldn't believe it but Sharks v Roosters were live on telly! He was happy and I went off and booked us a day trip to volcano, the hot springs, Thirassia and Oia. Had a wander and shop too - all good though really hot!
Then was time to get him back for a swim and rest while I sat by the pool, swam, read....holidays are tough!
Later wandered down the caldera to a lovely restaurant called Remvi - superb location looking directly out to the volcano and that awesome Santorini sunset! Was lovely - and food was good too! Baileys on our balcony not bad either!
