The next town was the seaside town of Narooma and as soon as we arrived in this little town we knew it was going to be the prettiest town on this coast. We arrived late morning and got some yogurt for breakfast before heading to the lookout point at the top of the town. The views out the ocean and to the bay were beautiful with the water a gorgeous turquoise colour. After breakfast we had a walk around the point and stumbled across a rock called Australia rock so named because the eroded hole in the rock mirrors the shape of Australia with amazing accuracy considering it was shaped by the elements! We next headed to Bar beach which was my idea of heaven as around the bay it was built up with giant stones resulting in a completely calm protected ocean free from sharks and the terrifying currents that can pull you off your feet and sweep you away at some of the other beaches. To cut a not so long story even shorter we lazily lay on the beach for the remainder of the afternoon before packing up and heading to the hotel to check in! Whilst we didn't have much in the way of cooking facilities at this hotel Michael still managed to whip up delicious cheese free fajitas on a very questionable looking BBQ!The next day and having really exerted ourselves the previous day we felt we needed a rest and so whilst its not like us we headed to the beautiful beach for another day soaking up the sun and absorbing some much needed vitamin D! Not the most interesting blog I have ever written but that's exactly how Narooma went and whilst the town itself doesn't really live up to its beautiful surroundings it is definitely up there with my best beaches in Australia and definitely worth the 2 day stopover!
