Our last two nights in Fiji were to be spent back near the airport in Nadi at the Nadi Bay Hotel. We had a similar experience on the returning bus however this time we got to see all of the film, a very interesting film called Crocs. When we got back to Nadi it was only a quick taxi to the hotel and within 5 minutes of checking in we were sunning ourselves by the pool. Our first evening in the hotel we had a lovely dinner and then were invited to join a Kava ceremony before chatting to a crazy Kiwi woman. I say crazy because when I tried to tell her about my traumatic rat and rooster experiences on Kuata she informed us that she used to keep roosters and rats. Not only this, she also went traveling with a rooster, 2 cats and a dog and told me to give the rats another chance because they make excellent pets and I quote "you can actually form a relationship with a rat". Where do you go from there? Our last day in Fiji was spent chilling by the pool topping up our tans in the Fijian sun for the last time before we had to give it up for some New Zealand frost. We had dinner again at the hotel restaurant and then the hotel cinema was showing the new batman movie, The Dark Knight. Within a few minutes it was clear that this was a hookie copy and not even a good one at that as we had to endure the shadow of the same man getting up and down to the toilet about 3 times during the film. We really cant complain as we got to see the new batman film for free so happy days. The next day we only had a couple of hours in the sun before it was time to say goodbye to wonderful Fiji. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved every minute and whilst it may not have the glamour or the western comforts of some other exotic holiday destinations this is more than made up for by the Fijian hospitality. It will take some time to adjust to a day that doesn't start with a Bula and a huge Fijian smile
