Hi everyone.
We have finally arrived in Nepal. We have just spent the day collecting supplies for our trekking trip. The law has recently changed to say that we must use a porter or guide on our trek - and not go alone like we were planning so we also had to run around today and hire a porter to carry our bag for the trek. We have also managed to hire some fdown jackets. They have said that it is very cold at the Everest Base camp at the moment. We are heading off on the 12 Novembeer, and are due to get back on 1 December - 20 days in total... with no shower and reaching heights of 5558m above sea level. Can't wait!
So needless to say we will be uncointactable until after we get back from our trek, hopefully 1 December, give or take a few days if we feel like taking it eas. So bye for now and we will fill you in on all the details from our trek when we get back.
It is our 1 year anniversary on Dec 3, and we are going to go bungee jumping 160m over the Bhote Kosi river to celebrate (well Dean is anyway - I still haven't decided as I feel sick just thinking about it) and we are going white water rafting as well so that should be fun!
Speak to you all soon. Only 6 weeks until we finally touch down on Aussie soil - can't wait to see everyone again!!
