Nadeane & Dean's Trip
Hi there everyone!
Its Saturday today so we have no school. We are getting better with our spanish, we can ask people their names and read from a menu and know what most stuff is, but we have decided to spend another week at Spanish school to build up our vocabulary. The days at school are pretty fun. We spend from 8 until 12 just the two of us with our teacher, and then again from 2 till 4 and he is quite good and funny so we havent been bored yet.
The family we are staying with is really nice, its a mum and dad, two teenage daughters and a young son, Pablo, who is about 7, and is constantly eating.. hes quite cute! The food is quite interesting... Dean doesnt mind it, but ive been having a bit of trouble! Last night it was spinach soup with a poached egg in it...and a side order of whipped beans.... hmmm... oh well at least Ill lose some weight!!
The exciting news is that we are now in Spanish school until the 16h of March, and then we have booked a sailing cruise around the Belize Barrier reef for 6nights, seven days. Its aboard a 46 foot yacht, with 8 other people plus the crew. We will be spending our days relaxing on the deck, eating fresh seafood, swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving. We cant wait. Its just what we need to relax and slow the hectic pace down a bit. At least this way we have no choice but to stop and relax as we are stuck on a boat in the middle of the ocean!! Cant wait!! We may come back to Spanish school for one more week after that, depending on how our travel plans are going, otherwise we will head straight up to Mexico.
Some very sad news... our camera has died.... I turned it on this morning and the LCD screen shows everything upside down and back to front. Weve tried resetting and everything else we can think of, but the only way to see our photos properly is to turn the camera upside down and look at it in the mirror. Very wierd. so it looks like well have to get another camera, but they are very expensive here in Central america, so we may have to wait until Canada..... so until then, you all may have to put up with the crappy photos form our old camera!
Anyway, better go.
Chat soon...
