Sorry for the long time between blogs!! We have had an action packed few weeks, with our plans being totally turned around due to the block sale falling through... went from having a month off and travelling to Cape York to coming into Maroochydore to find work!! Oh well, we have now settled in and Loz is working at the local pub doing bar work and waitressing (which she's never done but loving it) and also working at Roger David doing retail (which she's never done but loving it!), and Mick is hoping to start this week driving trucks for Readymix...
We have found a really nice caravan park to stay at, it's right on the beach and we pretty much head over to the beach at 5 for a drinkie and sit and watch the pelicans and the sun go down... pretty relaxing really! The park is called the Cotton Tree Caravan Park, Cotton Tree QLD (don't know the postcode!) and we'll be here till at least December, so come and visit or drop us a line!
Tim & Ral came up for a conference last weekend and we were sooo excited to see them. The poor b*****s couldn't get rid of us, we wanted to spend every minute with them!! It was really really good to catch up (had a good time as you can see by the photos) and see them again, when they left we sulked around the caravan park for the arvo feeling sorry for ourselves & a bit homesick - we were both sad to see them go, didn't feel like we had enough time together, but will see you all at Xmas anyway which is just around the corner now.
Maroochydore is a beautiful place, we both really love it here. The atmosphere and weather are awesome - I even went for a jog the other morning (well, a walk / jog!) along the foreshore and the view is just stunning. Won't be doing that again in a hurry as my legs reminded me how unfit I am for at least 3 days after the exercise... I thought I'd never walk again!
Mick has been helping around at the caravan park doing odd jobs.. mowing lawns... whipper snippering... getting drinks from the oldies and talking to just about everyone, not to mention getting a heap of free crap from around the park. I got home from work one night to find him sitting outside watching the footy on a tv, on a table, with an antenna... that were not there when I left that morning... I now also have an iron, some mats for the floor, and apparently I'm getting aniother fridge soon too... just in case we need them... obviously he's as happy as a pig in poop now he's got a telly to watch the footy on - just in time for finals. Yay.
Well it's time for us to go, I have to work tonight, and Mick HAS to watch the NRL this arvo so we have to be home by 3.30 or else.
Hope you like the new photos and I'll get in to update a bit more often now...
Love always Mick & Loz xxx
