Hey everyone

We're now in Bangkok! Finally! We left Heathrow at about 11am GMT yesterday (after a few more delays) and after a flight of eating, more eating and very little sleep (Christina watched 3 films) we arrived in Bangkok at about 4am.
After looking around for a while trying to get our bearings and spending 15 minutes attempting to use a pay phone (and failing), we decided to go to the hostel. We stepped outside and were hit by a wave of humid heat. This did not aid Alex's headache or Christina's lack of sleep...

So we jumped in a taxi and began the first of many scary journeys. Why was this one scary? The speedometer was broken and the driver decided this meant he could drive as fast as he liked. And that everybody else on the road could drive as fast as they liked too. But we arrive in one piece at our hostel at around 5am.

The lights were off and it appeared no one was home. Hmm. But then Christina spotted someone sleeping behind the reception and banged on the door. They opened it and said "Alex...?" Relief! We guess they had got the email we sent from heathrow saying that we'd be late. We got keys, we got a room, and within minutes (of turning on the air con) we were asleep...
