Today we arrived in Airlie beach!

We woke (one of many times that night) at 6.00am by the bus driver who seemed to enjoyed waking the coach up far too much. We wearly got off the coach and walked to the hostel. After finding out we couldn't check into 1pm (how late will check-in get?!) we put our bags in storage, had some breakfast and set out to have a walk around Airlie Beach.

We came across a little beach with calm blue water, very different from the South-East coast (the great barrier reef stops the swell). There was also a huge pool right on the beachfront called the 'lagoon'. We had a little look around the shops and Christina bought some bracelets.

We went back to our hostel and could check in to our room. After the mornings consideration we then went to reception and booked the next days activities. We choose a day cruise to three islands on the Whitsundays, including the famous Whitehaven beach (the second best beach in the world) that we would be doing the next day and were very excited about. We then booked sea kayaking around the Whitsundays for the day after.

After a little nap we went down to the beach again and watched the sun slowly set before going back to the hostel for dinner and bed. Xxx
