We left Queenstown early in the rain and it was the only place that we didn't get picked up right outside the accommodation door - typical. We have travelled on from Nelson down the west coast to Queenstown, the activity centre of South Island. As you will see the weather is still gorgeous and the sun is still shining on us. From the dust of Easter Island to the rain of Tahiti. Mind you it is very hot. We have had quite a lot of rain on and off as it is the rainy season which started in December, but when the sun comes out its HOT. Well we are in a museum which is actually an island. The whole place is full of history and our group has some knowledgeable people in it. When we arrived there was a mix up over hotels which we never got to the bottom of but at least we had a nice room but no pool. The island is quite windy and hence dusty which is made more a problem as the buses don't have a/c so you have the windows open and you get a reddy coloured tan.
