Hello and a quick update on this blog, henceforth it will be just Charles blog as Ally has decided to do her own. Once she's started it I'll post a link here so everyone can keep track of both of us.
Today is our last day in Krabi, after having spent just 3 days here. Its a rather bleak city with not much going on, however the surrounding area has loads to do. On Wednesday we rented a scooter and drove to Khao Phanombencha National Park (about 25km away) and saw a fairly pristine rainforest with some awesome waterfalls. We went for what was supposed to be a quick easy hike that turned into a 2hr trek straight up and downhill, which in the long run was pretty cool. Then yesterday we went to Wat Tham Sua in the morning, which is just a local temple, and then in the afternnoon booked on a island hopping tour which took us to 6 different islands where we went swimming, snorkelling, caving, rock climbing and cliff diving, had dinner, and finally swam with Phytoplankton. All in all very epic and well worth the $30usd.
Today we pack up and are taking an overnight bus/boat to Koh Tao, which is on the gulf of Thailand side. If all goes as planned we will spend a few nights there and then head to Bangkok early next week.

Pattie Thanks Charles. It is so much fun to read about your adventures. Yes, $30.00, what a bargain! Are you staying in a hostel?
