Before we set off at 11am tomorrow, here is a little introduction to our team members:

Team member: Shane Hannam, Key Account Manager, Reed Travel Exhibitions

About Shane: 35 year old cycling commuter and ex-footballer who can no longer run as well as he used to and so took up cycling!

Cycling experience: mainly London commuter, but did the 2013 Etape through the French Alps. 11 hours in the saddle in 34 degree heat climbing mountains. NEVER AGAIN! This challenge however did generate the interest among my colleagues which resulted in London to Paris, so it was not all bad!

Why Just a Drop: Just a Drop is the official RTE charity and does such a great job changing the lives of so many people. It was therefore an easy decision. May I also take this opportunity to thank all of our colleagues for their huge generosity - we are very nearly at our target of £3000.

Looking forward to: The RTE Sprint Challenge up the Champs Elysees on Sunday - a la Cavendish!

Not looking forward to: The preceding 200 plus miles!
