Got the bus to the border. Having already scoped it out I knew the geezer on the bus was going to come round and ask us for our money for the visa and out passports. We got nearer to the border, and so he did. As per all the flashpackers fell straight into it, as little did they know this was the cost of the visa plus and inflated $5 fee. I told him I was going to do mine myself. He then tried to scare monger me by saying the queue would be long, I might miss the bus, blah blah blah. Its like ere pal, you have 20 passports in your hand, I have one… who's gonna be finished first? Low and behold there was no queue whats so ever and I waltzed through immigration in around 2 mins flat and had to wait ages for him to arrive and everyone else. I always like a new country as it means another new stamp in my passport! This one was a full page green one.
We then changed buses on the other side, this time crushed into a small minivan and before long we were in the capital. An Indonesian lass had already booked a hotel and was getting a free pick up. I bummed a lift for free and found a cheaper place. Had an explore on the night and found a temple on the top of the hill.

Today I went to the killing fields. This was really amazing. This was when the communist part the Khmer Rouge lead by Pol Pott masacered millions of his own people in the pursuit of pure communism. I got a motorbike taxi there. The entrance fee got you a headset which you walked around and some geezer explained each thing. Normally wouldn't be my thing but this was amazing. I listened to every single one and it was mind blowing. Scary just how bad the human race can be. The tails of torture when mad, including people holding babies by their feet and smashing their skulls into the killing tree before lobbing them into a mass grave.
Afterwards I went to a genocide museum which depicted just as gory accounts of brutality.

Chilled. Scoped bus out. Prepared for interview. Met Sam, a kiwi, been travelling one and half year. Chilled with him downstairs and had a good craic on.

Interview went really well. Was going to just do it in the dorm as no one was about but loads of new people turned up, and they kept trying to talk to me and one another when I just wanted to read my notes. So instead I asked the staff if they had a spare room I could lend for half an hour. I went in a small windowless roo, but then soon got kicked out as someone checked in for it. I then settled for the store room under the stairs. 5 mins to my call however and there was a power cut!! That meant I would have to go in the hotel entrance where it was really loud with the numerous tuk tuks. However it soon came back on. The guy got the wrong number but eventually my dad pointed him to my number and he rang. The guy was Indian and the interview was really easy, it wasn't a competency based interview so it was simple motivation/company questions.
