A long but truly memorable day, Venice is certainly the pick of destinations on the Italian leg of our trip.

While it rained overnight by the time we had breakfast the sky was Blue and stayed that way for the larger part of the day. On Michael's recommendation we travel to the glass works on the Island of XXXXX, the king tides once again came in at about 10:30 and flooded St Marco Piazza, plus many of the shops. Apparently this is not an uncommon event and can happen up to a dozen times between November and February, the shop keepers seem to take it in there stride, lifting everything up and continuing with business as usual.
