Most of my 2 days at the Hyatt have been spent horizontally - either in the extremely comfy bed watching films or on a sun lounger by the pool. I did get up temporarily for a swim, a spot of dinner and to attack the breakfast buffet. Talking of buffets, I was lured away from a perfectly good steak and mash (mmm mash :) dinner from the a la carte menu by the Mexican(?!) themed buffet purely due to the French crepes on the dessert station. Big mistake. They didn't have chocolate sauce - I had to settle for maple syrup! At least I got some guacamole - the main thing I have really been craving, other than mash potato!
Don't usually watch ESPN but it proved a good tonic to my medical and detective series overdose - it introduced me to 'Crashed Ice'. It was a re-run from earlier this year in Munich and was just like that crazy wacky races skiing event from the winter Olympics, but on ice (hockey) skates! Plus there was a very hot Finnish competitor - Lari Jsomething.
Oh and very gutted to have received an email confirming I got allocated zilch Olympics tickets, despite having applied for about 20 :(
