Tayla- today I went with Rachel and Eleanor and Dchan to the slum homes. Unfortunately we went really able to go into the house because most of the area had been flooded. It was still incredibly daunting and I now cherish everything I have back at home. The girls and I then got treated to a afternoon at the hairdressers where we got out hair washed, blow dried and straightened! It was lovely and I had a great time spending time with the two girls all day. Everyone is slowly gaining singlet tans, so my mission is to keep my tan as even as possible! It's been great getting to know the orphans. I really really want to smuggle one back home. I hope everyone is enjoying holidays back at home. Hey mum, guess what I had to breakfast! Muesli with banana and yogurt :D X
Sar wadi kar ladies and gents this is Rachel here :) um today I had the opportunity to go to the slums with the lovely Tayla and Eleanor at first I was worried as to how I would respond although when I got there I felt okay and just genuinely privileged to have a home that has air con and beds and a proper roof and even little things like drains. Hans was our chauffeur and I learnt a lot from all the stories he told throughout the day. We then went for lunch which was good and guess what folks you will never believe this but I actually ate rice!!! Be amazed. Afterwards Hans treated us girls for a hair wash and the results are incredible our hair has never been so straight and thin before :) so anyway now I am at the orphanage just chilling with the fan cranked high. to conclude hehe that was rather formal umm I am seriously loving it here so dang much but do not stress peeps back home I will return And I miss your presence love you Kayla and Andy and mumsy and daddy xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Today was a really incredible day. After a huge chalk and water fight with the gorgeous kiddies this morning, Rachel Tayla and I went to the slums but disappointingly we couldn't go in because it was flooded. The people were really lovely and it was really sad to see people living like that. The kids were really sweet there too. It really makes you think about how truly lucky you are. Hans has now started introducing mr chan as Jackie chan's son. There were some very impressed locals to say the least. Hans then treated us girlies to a hair wash/blow dry/straightening! All in all its been a very good and interesting day. Much love fam. Xxx Eleanor

Bev. I'm enjoying hearing about your day. I'm so glad you are loving the experience and sharing with people who live in a different culture to ours. Love you Rachel from mum.
