Well what should I do with my full day in Singapore town.. Obviously go to the Zoo. Yes this zoo is different from the rest, well only slightly as a zoo is a zoo at the end of the day.. but yes, this zoo doesn't have enclosures for it's animals meaning that us tourists get to be up close and personal with the best of the creatures.. Now I loved the zoo -however on my way to the zoo, I see a gigantic advert for LegoLand Malaysia. Erm what now? Why am I going to see things I have already seen instead of going to a foreign LegoLand. I genuinely felt my heart sink a little when I knew it was too late for changing my mind!
So I just embraced the Zoo, took a few selfies with the animals (like you do..) and then left for an afternoon of shopping. (The £ - $ exchange rate was very attractive that day!)
I found a Forever 21!!! Finding your favourite shop when you have a lot of dollars and a lot of time can be a dangerous thing. I, however, felt I dealt with the situation well by only buying what I didn't need instead of what I REALLY didn't need and still it came up on my statement as cheaper than it would have at home. I feel this is when you know you are winning at life..
I continued to 'win' at life when I found more shops underground then remembered that I only had a rucksack and would have to carry everything I bought.. This is when I decided I'd arrive in Melbourne with 5 tops on, my hoodie out just incase and then shorts under my Asia pants! (By that I mean baggy trousers, not our pants silly!) therefore my bag will weigh about 4kg less as it's still 17kg for some unknown reason!
To round of my day nicely, jet lag has destroyed my body clock and I did not fall asleep until 4am, but that's fine because tomorrow I've got a lazy day then a night flight which I will obviously sleep on.. Obviously..
