Today was going to be my last day in Sydney for potentially 3 months. I'm going to ruin the surprise and say I came back but just keep reading..
First, I must introduce a new character to the story that is my life.. Sarah. Sarah is from England. She is what we travellers refer to as instafriends.. Because we can understand each other and live within reasonable distance at home we instantly become friends for the rest of our time! She was in the bunk beside me at the hostel and we bonded over our love of Made in Chelsea.. Now she appears to have become a fixture :)
It was only natural then that I spent my last day here with her.. On the way to the harbour for a day out at the zoo, I bumped into Jedward getting some sushi..
I don't really have any funny stories or remarks, we kinda just got a Starbucks (strawberries and cream frap..) then took a stroll down to the zoo, or wildlife world as they liked to call it!? I had already been to Madame Tussauds as Sarah didn't want to see One Direction
and I did.. This is where the friendship gets awkward..
The zoo was, well like a zoo! It wasn't the biggest, but it was still worthwhile going. Defiantely going to make a trip to the Steve Irwin Zoo at some point.. That's a real zoo!
Sarah had to leave for work but it was such a nice day I decided to take a walk to the botanical gardens. Surprise surprise they were just like the other botanical gardens I have seen.. However, with it being almost 30' and the sun shining down, they did look a little more flowery?!
I managed to do a full circle and ended up on the other side of the opera house allowing for more selfie time.. (Half my photos are of my head I swear!) before walking around to sunbathe on the green beside the harbour bridge where I just topped up my tan a little!
That night I had my first night out! We hit up Scary Canary which is wear the cast of Geordie Shore went all the time when they were here! It was a good night but the place was so tiny! They made it look so big on tv, and how they got cameras in there, well I do not know! I didn't get to drunk as I had a 9 hour journey the next day. I didn't sleep either as by the time I go back, I had to be up 2 hours later and the fear of missing my train was just too much!
