Getting to HK should prove more difficult that sounds like
Roger and me slept at different places in Tokyo. Initially we had planned going to the airport that night, but no train or busses left late, and we would have to spend like 15 hours at the airport, which didnt really seem that tempting. So we went looking for a capsule hotel that Roger had found online. When we got to the area it became obvious that it was really just a place for hookers and dirty 30minutes to 2 hour hotels, the reason you can pretty much guess yourself. The capsule hotel was down a dirty allyway, and didn't seem very appealing, to make things better it was fairly expensive aswell. So we looked around the area for another place to sleep, as it was getting late, Roger found a Japanese porn place where he got a room, I went back into the center where we had been at a Internet Cafe earlier the same day, where basicly you get a couch/bed plus a TV and a PC. And successfully managed to get my long body into a position that worked for sleeping a few hours.
The flight was due from Narita Airport at 9.20, so we had bought a ticket for the first airport express train that morning/night.
So at little over 4 o'clock, I left my booth and headed for the McDonalds down the road for a healthy breakfast.(The other ones there was getting a meal/nap on their way home from the city. I got on the first subway train at 5 oclock, and was at Tokyo main station about a hour before the train was set to depart.
This is where we had arranged to meet, the time ticked on, and no Roger in sight. I looked around the platform, and when I got on the train and sat down on my seat, I thought to myself " I am going to Hong Kong alone". I got of the train at the airport, and walked towards the escolator up to the terminal, there stood Roger with his biggest smile ^^.
We got on the plane to South Korea, for a 3 hour stop - we thought.
On our booking confirmation we had a little over 3 hours in Seoul before our flight to Hong Kong, so we decided to walk around the airport a little by ourselves, and meet at the gate a little prior to boarding. But 2 hours before we thought the plane was due to leave, I suddenly noticed while looking up on the departure screen for my gate, that our flight had the "FINAL CALL" tag, and was leaving in 5 minutes, at the same time a guy was driving around on one of thoose electric airport golf cars and shouting, "passengers for Hong Kong" - It really was REALLY lucky, I could have been anywhere else in the airport, eating, shopping - whatever. But I got on the thing and as he was driving my towards my gate (which was fairly far away) - they called my name up on the speakers, repeating the final call, I bet my pulse was at a 150, I luckily made it to the gate in time, and got on the plane as the last person. Next to my seat was Roger, with an even bigger smile.
Getting to the bus and finding the hotel was easy enough (we only spent around an hour looking for the hotel, which by our standards is pretty good.
Finaly, the Hong Kong adventure could begin.
