PHILLIP ISLAND
2hr drive to Phillip Island and we're here. 5 minute walk to the beach and our own queen sized bed. We had pizza and movie night the first night with Hazel and Solly, the following day we played board games with Solly and then Jasper and Christian arrived and we continued playing more board games whilst Hazel and Christian were outside cutting down trees that had fallen in their garden. We all helped to clear up afterwards, then lunch and a walk on the beach.
Saturday night we had a massive BBQ on their huge back deck and Chris and his wife came too! Their was plenty of food, cider and wine. King prawns, chicken skewers, lamb steaks, veggie burgers for Meggie and of course plenty of salad, cheese and crackers! We played multiple games of UNO with the boys until late.
Sunday was spent playing more board games and chilling. For tea we had what was meant to be Indian but after finding out they were shut we had Chinese instead and watched another movie. The following morning, bearing in mind the clocks went back an hour we got up thinking it was 9:15 but it was actually 8:15 the boys were already up and had Monopoly already set up for us. We could barely finish our breakfast before the game started and as you all know it isn't a quick game, we even had a refreshment interval! We finally went outside around mid-day and went for a walk at The Nobbies, we saw a few wild penguins they were very fluffy. We then headed for the beach, played tag.. the boys had a shock when they thought they could pick on the girl but little did they know she was the quickest!! We had the best toastie for lunch and played crazy golf. Christian was the score keeper and referee as it was a very competitive game with only 10 points in it 1st to 4th. That night we had leftovers from the BBQ and Christian also cooked up some salmon, it was lush. We all wrapped up warm and went to the Penguin parade - unfortunately we didn't get any photos because it was dark :-( but they were so cute! Expensive hour or so but well worth it!
Tuesday was spent getting the place back to accommodation standard and helping Christian do some renovation jobs. We all fled to the beach as soon as the work was done to burn off steam. We had a picnic on the beach and then all the boys ran into the sea in their shorts and had a swim. Meg forgot her bikini :-(
We then headed back to Hazel's to repack and then went to Chris's for a couple of nights. The most exciting bit is yet to come..
