After promising to do this regularly I fail in less than a month...
... oh well thats adhdhdhdhd for you. Proof that too much beer and sugar isn't good for you.
So works been busy. Telling everyone that you off in two months kind of focusses people on getting the most out of you before you go. It's been weird interviewing people, trying to find the best person for the job but at the same time hoping they are not too good.
As Claire has no doubt mentioned on the planning front it's been full steam ahead.
Last weekend we had some estate agents round to look at the house and give us their best spiel about how we should go with them as they have hundreds of millions of people wanting to rent our house for £1billion an hour. It kind of makes you feel a little dirty - but it has to be done.
On a more intersting note we spent most of Sunday looking at places to stay in Europe. After coming to the conclusion we want to leave on day x and need to be in Russia on day y (dates still to be confirmed) we had the whole of Europe ahead of us. We know we want to go to Germany and visit the relies and that Western Europe is just too expensive for our laughable budget but I must confess I know nothing about Eastern Europe.
If you asked me to describe it I think i'd probably be sensored from this website for unfair stereo typing. That's not because I'm being nasty (because I'm not) but just shows how little I've bothered to take the opportunity to look beyond my own garden walls.
So instead of actually booking anything we spent most of the day investigating what we don't know.
Now I know we want to go to Budapest in Hungary, that the Czech Rebublic and poland sound really intersting and that if I can find a way of sliding it in a few days on a beach in Croatia looks like a great way to unwind after what will be the most manic two months since our wedding.
Since Sunday it's been pretty much work and explorers, although we did manage to get a lot of our visa forms filled in at explorers and i've been ebaying a lot of the crud from the loft to raise a bit of extra cash so we can buy a better camera.
