Hello everybody, today we had the chance to weigh our bags - here are the vital statistics . . . Chris = 24kg and Claire = 19kg! Phew! Yesterday we visited a buddhist temple just outside of town. We saw the morning prayers and they had an indoor 5 storey high buddah which was very impressive.
Then we headed over to the 'international interlectual museum' which houses hundreds of wooden 3d puzzles, chess sets and toys. It was fun as we got to try to take the puzzles appart and fail to get them together!
Today we visited the national museum to learm more about Ghengis Khan and his family. Did you know that the term Beef 'Tartar' comes from the mongols? They used to put raw beef under their saddles all day to warm and then eat it later . . .
Ghengis Chan also invented Diplomatic Imunity . . . And had 500 wives! Busy guy.
We are gettin on the train to Beijing tommorow morning, we will get there the next day in the afternoon. Hopefully the border crossing won't be so long this time . . .
Anyway off to have a shower beffore the sweaty train journey!
Bye Bye x Claire

Steve Taylor It is a not so well known fact that Genghis Khan as well as inventing Diplomatic Immunity, as a result of being married to 500 wives also invented selective hearing.
