Day 1
morning
Today, I woke up in theIshtar Hotel, in Baghdad. First, I went to the Church of Meskenta, one of the oldest in Baghdad. On my way there, I noticed that it's a really dry place. Its temperatures are relatively high most of the time, it does get cold at night though. It is a really sandy place, it has almost no rainfall at all. Its annual rainfall is only 177 inches a year.
Day 1
Afternoon
It was time for lunch and I had no idea where to go, so I got in a taxi and told the driver to take me to the best restaurant in town. He stopped at the, Khan Murjan, it was only 10 U.S dollars. After lunch I went to the main bazaar in Baghdad and looked for some fun things to buy my friends. The bazaar is a place where many venders sell many goods from all around the world.
Day 1
Night time
When I finished my shopping I decided to head back to the hotel. I was almost over my daily budget so I just bought room service from the hotel. While I was in the hotel I ordered room service and a movie. I watched a documentarily on Iraq and found out that Iraq's literacy rate is 74.1, higher than I expected for a third world country. I guess I fell asleep watching the movie, but it was still a pretty awesome day.
