Today we went to the Paramount Carawinds Theme Park which was great fun. Nancy was unwell so she and Sarah left early, they went for lunch and had the license plates from Nancy's car stolen and so went to the police. Today a group of 10 of us headed off to Charlotte on our first weekend away! Nik and I drove down in our rental car and gave Sally a lift. The journey took around 3 and 1/2 hours but in England would only have taken around 2 hours! Driving over here is very frustrating - speed limits are typically 35 or 45 mph occasionally you may be allowed to reach 55mph on what we would call our dual carriage ways. Believe it or not I am actually sick of shopping and spending money now! It's been quite hard buying furniture etc for the apartment as always got in the back of your mind that you're probably going to need to get rid of it within the year so really don't want to spend that much so obviously not buying the stuff that you really want! Car shopping begins next!

Today we can finally move in to our apartments - may the shopping begin and the suitcases be unpacked!
