My mom had told us that sitting forward of the wing would provide the smoothest flight, and I would have to agree. Once I told Jordan this, however, it became her mission to sit as far back as possible on the next flight...which, thankfully, was only an hour or so long. Turns out mom was right. The back of the plane was very bumpy indeed. We won't be doing that again.
Once we arrived in San Francisco and settled in a bit (and completely re-packed our suitcases for a lighter load), Jordan had to hit the beach. Pap had warned her that it would be cold, but that wasn't stopping her. Even after Aunt Julie warned her about the cold water as well as the strong current, she just had to get wet. After two quick dunks she (reluctantly) came out of the water. Just as we were walking back to the car, Daddy called me to tell me that the person who *found Jordan's phone on the beach* would be calling me any minute! Good grief.
After the beach, Jordan went out with Uncle Leslie to grab a bite to eat (Chinese food of all things!) while Julie and I went to have massages! I won't give too much away here, but suffice to say it was amazing. I didn't even know you could massage ears.
Well, it's now about 1:30 am Pittsburgh time, and I am exhausted. More to come as we head out tomorrow for Beijing.
