The tour guide was adam the guy i had on my first tour in australia melbourne to sydney it was wierd seeing him after months on the road but i knew the tour would be good as his knowledge was really good. We left adelaide at 6.30am and headed to the grampians a national park in victoria. Yes that means we crossed another boarder south australia to victoria. On the way we got to see some white kangaroo's that were being breed locally, they were really wierd looking, as i'm use to seeing grey or red kangaroo's, and these kangaroo's were more prone to sun burn than the other. Anyway we got the grampians in the afternoon and did our first walk up the mountain range, not fun the weather wasn't that good and the rain was coming but we climbed to the top anyway, and i'm glad i did the views were amazing or the countryside, lots of green fields and the mountain range. We stayed in a really nice camp iste accommendation in the grampians near lakes entrance. We got to see kangaroo's for the kitchen window fighting a new experience.
The next moring we went looking for wildlife and found kangaroo's and a deer the first i've seen in oz. After we were in for another walk up the mountain range, this one was harder and when at the top it was really windy but again you could see for miles and the weather was a nice clear day. We went to some water fall in the afternoon then headed to the start of the great ocean road by the time we got there the weather was really sunny. We had the opportuniy to see the twelve apostle from a helicopter so i decided it would be a nice change as i had previously seen them earlier in the year. We got the helicopter ride cheap so that was even better and the views were amazing. We had dinner at the place we stayed an aussie bbq then went back to the twelve apostles to see sunset, it was ok but over really quick and you couldn't get photo's of the apostles and sunset, never mind i have the memories.
The last day we headed back to the twelve apostles in the morning before travelling along the great ocean road back to melbourne. We stopped along the way to see koala's and have lunch. We also stopped in lorne to watch the melbourne cup a horse race like the grand national at home as some of use had had a bet, unfortunitely my horse came in second and i didn't put the bet on each way (stupid me). Anyway it was over in 2 minutes and wasn't an exciting race. We stopped in torquay for out shopping at the outlets but i didn't buy anything, i just wanted to get to melbourne and relax. Got to melbourne in the evening it was strange being back and it was sunny at 6.30pm i was use to it being dark at 5pm. The weather is supposed to be really sunny whilst i'm here before going to tasmania in a weeks time.
