Hollywood, California
I arrived yesterday at 10 am local time. As soon as I got off the plane i could feel the warmth, and I loved it. Walking through the airport felt like there were a million eyes watching me, and most of them were really rude.
After I got away from the teroist suspicious LAX, i got on my shuttle bus and headed to my hostel. Everyone speeds here. After i got to my hostel i went for a walk to the farmers market. The pedestian crossings have timers that show you how long you have to cross the road, and most of them don't have buttons to press.
After a quick cat nap a few people from the hostel and I decided to hit the town. We walked about 2 miles to the hot spots. We were meant to go and see Billy Bob Thorton play with his band, but after a few drinks at the rainbow lounge walked the wrong direction and decided to go into the "Key Club". It was and experience.
At the rainbow lounge the drinks were strong and the bikies big, but they were nice enough. I couldn't get over how outgoing the guys are here, they just come up and start talking to you, and when they hear the Aussy accent you cant get away. In the bathroom there was a million products to use and an old tranny who was very nice. We went back to the dancefloor and started grooving away when I got pulled up on stage by the lead singer of the band. It was abit scarey, but fun. People in LA are very different then Australia, but nice.
