Bury, UK
Today I went to Bury with Shea Lin, her family, and 3 of their friends: Raymond, Pei Shan, and George.
Bury is a town outside of Cambridge about an hour away by car and its name cone from a German word meaning burrow. It's also the location where some king killed in battle was buried too.
It was a cold weekend, with a slight rain and temp about 3-4 deg C. Raymond brought us to this restaurant called Graze, where portions are small, and you are encouraged to order a few dishes and share them. Food was good!
After lunch we went to walk the weekend market (open on wed and sat) (yes in the cold). The fresh produce on offer were really cheap and looked really good. Too bad I haven't moved into my own accommodation yet so I have to resist the urge to stock up.
Despite lunch we ate another round of a hog bun. Too bad I can't remember the name of the shop. But I had "the works" which was apple sauce, tender meat and crackling on a soft white bun. It was gooooood. And only £3!
It was too cold to stay out much, so we went back early, with a detour through the abbey grounds.
Definitely worth a trip back when it's warmer :)
