So arrived in Salta and went to a great backpackers called Salta Backpackers obviously!! Salta was great and not nearly as dusty as the other cities. Jen and I went horseriding for 3 hours in San Lorenzo which has beautiful mountains and scenery, it was also great to do some exercise aswell. Met some great lads at the hostal that worked in the bar and needed to go to Bolivia to renew their visas. This was obviously really handy as Jen and I needed someone to carry our rucksacks for us... The bus journey from Salta to La Quinoa was heading into altitide and I got altitude sickness quite badly. I was literally sweating and shaking and thought i was about to die especially as i didnt know what was wrong with me. Luckily it only took me 4 hours to acclimatise and by the time we crossed the border I had recovered. Got another bus from La Quinoa to Tupiza which was quite special. The bus floor was patched together with masking tape and you could actually see the floor. A few hours and 2 punctures later we arrived in Tupiza and hung out there for a couple of days with the lads drinking cuba libres and singing karaoke.
