I have fallen in love with Venice! What a beautiful city... It's like nothing else i have ever seen. Gorgeous little streets, beautiful canals, just amazing. Today we arrived about lunch time, headed to the hotel and checked in, then we just wandered the streets of Venice for hours... Such cute little restaurants and shops! Amazing leather products for very cheap! Wish I had more room in my bag, for handbags!!! This evening we went for a gondola ride, and it was JUST like the movies or in photos! Absolutely amazing, so romantic! Perfect. We had dimmer in a restaurant near St Marks Square, average food and service actually, but oh well! We then wandered around St Marks Square from about 8pm, it was gorgeous. All the restaurants in the square have live Italian jazz bands playing.. The whole piazza was just buzzing! We are going back to the Basilica tomorrow to go through it and will check out the other side of Venice. So far so good... Ciao
